Yulia Yelistratova
Julija Oleksandriwna Jelistratowa-Sapunowa ( Ukrainian Юлія Олександрівна Єлістратова Сапунова , international transcription: Yuliya Yelistratova; born February 15, 1988 in Zhytomyr ) is a Ukrainian triathlete . She is U23 European Champion of 2009, Vice European Champion on the Olympic short distance (2016), multiple Ukrainian national champion and Olympic participant (2016).
Career
From 2008 to 2010, Jelistratowa was married to the Russian triathlete Danylo Sapunow (* 1982), who was born in Kazakhstan . From 2008 to 2010, Jelistratova's family name was also retrospectively replaced by Sapunowa (international transcription: Sapunova) in all official ITU registers ; since 2011, only the maiden name Yelistratova (in this internationally customary transcription) has been used in ITU lists .
In addition to her full-time triathlon, Yelistratova studied business administration at the State University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Zhitomir (Ukrainian Національний агроуніверситет Украины в Житомире). Yelistratova is the holder of the title Master of Sports (мастер срорта) and trained with Natalia Kirillowitsch .
At the age of 16, Jelistratova first competed in the elite class at the Premium Triathlon European Cup in Alanya (October 26, 2005) as a junior, and was eighth in this debut, mind you among the world elite. In 2006 she was 20 at the BG Triathlon World Cup in Tiszaújváros 20. In her own age group, she regularly fought for podium places from 2006 onwards. B. at the junior European Cup competitions in Eilat the gold medal and in Alanya and Rijeka the silver medal. U23 European triathlon champion 2009
In 2009 Jelistratowa-Sapunowa took part in four competitions of the Dextro-Energy-World-Championship-Series : in Tongyeong she finished 31st (elite), in Kitzbühel 6th (elite), in Yokohama 21st (elite) and fifth at the Grand Final on the Gold Coast (U23 classification).
At the World Cup races in Mooloolaba, Tiszaújváros and Huatulco she was 19th, 5th and again 5th (each in the elite class). In the European Cup competition in Brno, the Premium European Cup in Eilat and the Premium Asian Cup in Beijing, she won gold three times, and at the Premium Asian Cup in Hong Kong she won silver (elite class). Right at the beginning of the 2009 season Jelistratowa had secured the European championship title in her age group (U23) in Tarzo Revine on June 20, 2009. The Premium European Cup in Alanya, on the other hand, was not under a good star: Jelistratowa dropped out of the competition in which she had won gold (2007) and silver (2006 and 2008) in the past three years, as did almost a third of the participants , out.
Vice World Champion Aquathlon 2014
In August 2014, she became vice world champion in aquathlon.
Jelistratowa has been married to the Russian triathlete Vladímir Turbaevskiy (* 1983) since April 2016 . In May 2016, she became vice European champion on the Olympic distance. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , she finished 38th in August.
In July 2018, the then 30-year-old finished 15th in the European Championship on the triathlon sprint distance in Estonia.
