Mission Creek is a river in the southern Canadian province of British Columbia . Its source is in the Greystoke Mountain Range east of Kelowna . From there it flows for a distance of 43 km in a westerly direction to Okanagan Lake . Its mouth is located on the east bank in the south of Kelowna. The river has the status of a British Columbia Heritage River .
The river is home to an endangered sockeye salmon subspecies, the Kokanee salmon , which spawns in it.
