The middle corner is 500.1 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the southwestern part of the Harz . It is located near Herzberg am Harz in the non-parish Harz region of the Lower Saxony district of Göttingen ( Germany ).

The middle corner rises in the Harz Nature Park . Your peak lies 4.5 km east-northeast of Herzberg am Harz , 4 km south-southwest of Sieber and 4.2 km north-northeast of Scharzfeld , both of which belong to Herzberg and 0.85 km northeast of the penis head ( 545.7 m ), 1 , 8 km west-southwest of the Großer Knollens ( 687.4 m ), 1.0 km west of the Kleiner Knollens ( 631 m ) and 1.0 km south of the Höxterberg ( 584 m ). Is located between the center and the corner Eichelnkopf the valley of the Oder -Zuflusses glans ditch , and small tubers the landscape passes by the Steintal over. The ridge northeast of the mountain has a low notch height to the Höxterberg and the Großer Knollen.
Parts of the Harz landscape protection area (district of Göttingen) ( CDDA no. 321403; 2000 designated; 300.112 km² in size) are located on the mountain . It is completely forested with beeches.

The middle corner belongs to the natural spatial main unit group Harz (No. 38), in the main unit Upper Harz (380) and in the subunit Southern Upper Harz (380.8) to the natural area Oderbergland (380.81). The landscape leads north into the Sieberbergland nature area (380.82). To the southwest it falls along the Eichelngraben into the natural area of Scharzfelder Zechsteinhügel (376.27), which belongs to the main unit group Weser-Leine-Bergland (37) and its main unit Southwest Harz foreland (376) to the subunit Osterode-Herzberger Vorland (376.2).
