Mixery Raw Deluxe was a German television show that was broadcast on VIVA . She featured articles on hip hop culture and showed music videos. The main focus was on German and American rap music . The biweekly broadcast music program can be described as the thematic successor of the programs Freestyle and Word Cup . These had a similar focus and were also produced and broadcast by VIVA Germany until they were canceled in 1995 and 1999. After the broadcaster VIVA stopped the production of the show, Mixery Raw Deluxe was continued as an online format until 2015.

history

The first episodes in the period from 2000 to 2001 were moderated by the German rapper MC Rene . The journalist and hip-hop musician Falk Schacht then took over the moderation of the music show until the last episode in November 2004. When VIVA Germany stopped producing the show, Falk Schacht took over the production of Mixery Raw Deluxe in 2005 and converted it to an online format ( Internet television ), which on the former site of Mixery Raw Deluxe free as a stream could be played.

As the first word of the name Mixery Raw Deluxe suggests the music program was initially from the Karlsberg brewery sponsored the so their beer mix - brand " Mixery has" promoted. In the first year of the show, this led to a discussion about sellout in the German hip-hop scene. In addition to the fans, music journalists such as the later presenter and producer Falk Schacht were also involved in this discussion.

There has never been an official statement about a possible production stop of Mixery Raw Deluxe , but no new episode has been published on the music show's website since 2015. This should be the cause of disagreements between the operators and the editorial team of the show. Mixery Raw Deluxe's website is currently offline.

Publications

Due to the interim success of Mixery Raw Deluxe , VIVA released a sampler with German rap music in October 2003 . This genre of music had a clear upswing in the year of its release thanks to the chart successes of numerous German and American rap musicians. Some of these rappers, such as Beginner , Bushido , Kool Savas or Sido , are represented with individual songs on the sampler . Individual interviews and tracks by English-speaking rappers such as Kurtis Blow , 50 Cent or Jay-Z have also been added to the DVD version .
