Because my love is immortal ( Hindi : मोहब्बतें, mohabbateṃ) is an Indian fictional film that addresses strict upbringing and youthful feelings, generation changes and love in different ways.

action

A new school year begins at the Gurukul elite school. The principal of this facility is Narayan Shankar, who adamantly enforces his three principles: tradition, honor and discipline.

The three new students Vicky, Sameer and Karan are now coming to this school, and all three fall in love. Vicky in Ishika, a student at the girls' school nearby. Sameer in his childhood sweetheart Sanjana, who lives nearby with her father, and Karan in Kiran, who is married to a missing military pilot. All three know that according to the current rules of Gurukul, they can hardly hope for their love to be fulfilled, as the principal once threw a student from the school who had fallen in love with Shankar's daughter Megha. This then committed suicide.

But for the new school year, the music teacher Raj Aryan is also coming to Gurukul to teach the students the power of music, the power of love and the belief in their own abilities. Raj and Shankar clash repeatedly. When the director wants to fire Raj because of his convictions, he reveals himself to be the former student who was in love with Shankar's daughter. Raj blames Shankar's principles for Megha's death. After all, the director sooner or later realizes that he is wrong. In the end Shankar resigns from the position of director and hands over the leadership of the elite school to the music teacher Raj Aryan and asks him to take on the responsible task. Vicky, Sameer and Karan all find their great love and Megha finally has peace.

background

  • Mohabbatein is a film that portrays the struggle between love and fear, a struggle between two stubborn men and their different views.
  • The one who stands for love and who would go the furthest way for her and the other who stands for discipline and respect generated by fear and believes that love only leads to pain and weakness.
  • At the same time, he juxtaposes two generations - one stuck in old tradition and culture, strictly regulated and the other with open views and modern visions.
  • It is the outcome of the three love stories that decides who will ultimately win - love or fear, stubborn stubbornness or visions of the future based on free decisions.
  • In the song Aankhein Khuli , Jugal Hansraj broke his ankle when he had to lift Kim Sharma off the bench.
  • The kiss between Uday Chopra and Shamita Shetty in one scene sparked a minor scandal, as it is not customary to kiss on the mouth in Indian films.

Reviews

"The film, peppered with Indian stars, tells the rather simple story in a blaze of colors and with an abundance of dance interludes and songs."

Mohabbatein is a massive epic with a talent for giving away and missed opportunities on the running meter. Music and stars are the main reasons for a recommendation, the minor young stars, a bumpy staging after the break those against it. But in spite of everything it remains a beautiful film and above all one that moves to tears at the end. "

- Molodezhnaya

"Nice Bollywood comedy with melodramatic undertones and borrowings from the Club of Dead Poets , which skillfully tells three love stories in parallel and embeds them in another as a kind of framework story."
