Moisés Ferreira Coelho (born April 8, 1877 in Cajazeiras , † April 18, 1959 in Paraíba ) was a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Paraíba .

Life

Moisés Ferreira Coelho received the on November 1, 1901 ordination and was on 16 November 1914 by Pope Benedict XV. appointed first bishop of the newly established diocese of Cajazeiras . He received the episcopal ordination by the Archbishop of Paraíba, Adauctus Aurélio de Miranda Henriques , on May 2, 1915. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Belém do Pará , Santino Maria da Silva Coutinho , and the Bishop of Aracajú , José Tomas Gomes da Silva . On February 12, 1932, Pope Pius XI appointed Coelho as Archbishop- Coadjutor of Paraíba and Titular Archbishop of Beroea . After the death of de Miranda Henriques, Coelho followed him on August 16, 1935 to the Archbishopric of Paraíba.
