Montreal Open 2017

The Montreal Open 2017 took place from March 28 to 31, 2017 in Montreal , Canada . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2016/17 and belonged to the PSA 25 category .

Last year's winner was Ali Farag , who did not take part again. The tournament was won by César Salazar , who was in second place and prevailed in the final against Omar Abdel Meguid with 11: 8, 16:14 and 11: 6.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. Per Wildcard received David Baillargeon a spot in the main draw.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize money was $ 25,000.
