The Moosbach is a brook in the Bavarian municipality of Bodenmais ( Regen district ).

Over time, the stream has hollowed out several basins in the gneiss underground . The sources of the Moosbach are located in the northern tip of the municipality, between the Great Arber and Enzian . The Dürrböbrachbachl and the Forellenbach flow to it from the left , before it forms the second highest waterfall (6-8 m) in the Bavarian Forest with the Hochfall , a little north of Bodenmais. After the Moosbach has passed Bodenmais to the west, it reaches the Rothbach , into which it joins.

The high fall in Moosbachtal has been designated as an important geotope (geotope number: 276R016) and natural monument by the Bavarian State Office for the Environment .
