Moquin's Marcetella ( Marcetella moquiniana ) is a species of plant from the rose family (Rosaceae) endemic to the Canary Islands .
features
Moquin's Marcetella is a dioecious shrub that reaches heights of 1 to 4 meters. The red to brown color is noticeable on the upper branches, and they are also hairy. The leaves are pinnate. They are heaped towards the ends of the branches. There are 7 to 14 leaflets per leaf. The inconspicuous flowers are arranged in thin spikes . The ears are about half as long as the bracts . The fruits are dry and winged.
The flowering period extends from March to December.
Occurrence
The species occurs on the Canary Islands Gomera , Tenerife and Gran Canaria . Their habitat are sunny rocky locations and barrancos .
