The Moree (also Morena or Morea) is an approximately 8 kilometer long right tributary of the Laveggio in the Swiss canton of Ticino . It drains part of the Mendrisiotto and flows through the Valle dell'Alpe in the municipality of Mendrisio .

The Moree rises at about 1180 m above sea level. M. on the southwest slope of 1303 m above sea level. M. high Bellavista . Initially it mostly flows to the southwest through the heavily forested Valle dell'Alpe, which is pronounced as a Kerbtal valley . At Occiò it leaves the valley and turns to the southeast. At the same time it takes up the Riale Selvano coming from the left and now flows through a small gorge. He passes the villages Somazzo and Salorino , which are located above the gorge.
A little later he reaches the Laveggio valley near Mendrisio. The Moree crosses the city at first, before it comes to the surface again after crossing under Hauptstrasse 2 and the Gotthard Railway . It flows straightened in a northerly direction and flows a little later at the swimming pool at 291 m above sea level. M. from the right into the Laveggio.
