Moretele ( English Moretele Local Municipality ) is a local municipality in the Bojanala Platinum district in the South African province of Northwest . The seat of the municipality is in Makapanstad .
The municipality is named after the river of the same name that flows through the municipality. The local government is run by the African National Congress . Mayor is Andries Makinta Monaheng.
