Moritz Boll

Moritz Boll (born August 27, 1994 ) is a film director from Northern Germany.

biography

Boll grew up in Flintbek and began to realize smaller film projects while at school. After graduating from the Humboldt School in Kiel, he worked as a director , screenwriter and cameraman on various film projects. In 2014 he shot the feature film Elise , for which he was able to hire the character actor Michael Mendl . The film was shown in several cinemas in Germany as part of a cinema tour. There he studied media production and the realization of further short films and commissioned works such as cinema - commercials for companies. In the summer of 2017, Boll shot the short drama Abgetaucht on the site of a former school camp in Schleswig-Holstein . The 15-minute film with Marko Gebbert in the leading role won prizes at several festivals and was broadcast on NDR television on September 24, 2018 .

Moritz Boll is the recipient of the Stark Prize of Schleswig-Holstein.

Moritz Boll was responsible for the video direction in Daniel Karasek's Hamlet production at the Kieler Schauspielhaus (premiere on April 12, 2019) .
