Moses Max Loew
Moses Max Löw (born November 12, 1857 in Szeged , Austrian Empire ; died after 1938) was an Austrian architect.
biography
The son of the chief rabbi of Szeged Leopold Löw , Moses Max Löw studied in Vienna at the Technical University under Heinrich von Ferstel and Karl König at the building school and then at the Academy of Fine Arts with Theophil von Hansen . However, financial problems due to the early death of his father forced him to drop out of his studies. There are no documents about his activities after graduation. However, from 1890 he was able to establish himself as an independent architect in Vienna who, as a representative of late historicism, mainly worked for private clients.
Moses Max Löw, who remained unmarried, resigned in 1934 - possibly for reasons of age - from the association of engineers and architects, to which he had belonged since 1899. After the connection of Austria to the German Reich , the Jewish architect moved in September 1938 in his home town Szeged, where lose his tracks.
