The Mounts-Palay-Palay-Mataas-Na-Gulod National Park is located on the border of the provinces Batangas and Cavite in the Philippines on the island of Luzon . It was established on October 26, 1976 with the entry into force of Decree 1594 on an area of 3,995 hectares and is part of the NIPAS biodiversity protection program of the Philippines under the category landscape protection area.
The three peaks of the Palay-palay, the Rico de Loro and the Mataas na Gulod, of which the Palay-Palay is the highest mountain at 648 meters, are located in the area of the designated national park . The last remaining rainforests in the Cavite province are in this national park, which make up around 60 percent of the park area.
The Mindoro Thrush ( Zoothera cinerea ), the Striped Owl ( Bubo philippensis ) and the Philippine Duck ( Anas luzonica ) can be seen in the national park .
