Moussa Koné (born December 30, 1996 in Dakar ) is a Senegalese football player . He is under contract with Olympique Nimes in France and is preferred for attack . He is also a former Senegalese junior national player.

Career

Koné learned to play football since he was seven, first on the street, then at his home club AS Dakar Sacré Coeur , of which he was a member until October 13, 2015. Since October 14, 2015, he has been with FC Zurich in Switzerland , where he played first for the second and later also for the first team in the first-class Super League and the second-class Challenge League . Moussa Koné made five appearances in the UEFA Europa League (one goal).

In January 2018 Koné moved to the German second division team Dynamo Dresden for a transfer fee and received a contract starting on January 30, 2018 for four and a half years until summer 2022 , 2 million euros. However, figures over 2 million euros are also rumored, but a credible 2.5 million euros is given by a source closely networked with FC Zurich (and in other reports refers to the club's internal upheavals after the departure of Koné in Zurich). In his first game for Dynamo, Koné was substituted on by coach Uwe Neuhaus in the 74th minute for Sascha Horvath and scored the goal in the 89th minute to make the final score of 2-0 against VfL Bochum . On March 12, 2018, after only six appearances for Dynamo Dresden, the kicker editors voted him the man of the 26th match day . With his 22nd goal on November 3, 2019, Koné became the record scorer for Dynamo Dresden in the second Bundesliga. He scored a total of 22 goals and nine assists in 59 games in the league.

On January 22, 2020, the French first division club Olympique Nimes announced the signing of Koné after Dresden had strengthened itself with several loan strikers during the winter break. In Nimes, the Senegalese meets his former Dresden teammate Haris Duljević . As with Dynamo Dresden, Koné scored his first goal on his first appearance for Nimes.

National team

On March 8, 2015, Koné made his debut for the Senegalese U20 national team at the U20 Africa Cup of 2015 . He also took part in the 2015 U20 World Cup , scoring one goal in six games.

Koné is married and a devout Muslim .
