Moxa Inc. is the world's third largest manufacturer of network solutions for industrial automation with a special focus on transportation and energy management . The products include Industrial Ethernet , IEEE 802.11 and embedded computing products.

history

In 1987, Moxa started out as a serial data transmission consultancy , bringing intelligent serial network cards to market. This was followed by PCI -Boards, serial device server and network - Switch - Server . Industrial Ethernet switches were produced for the first time in 2001 and are now part of one of Moxa's major lines of business. Managed Ethernet switches, serial-to- fiber optic converters and universal PCI boards followed in 2002, followed by PC / 104 cards in 2003. In 2003 the redundant network topology Turbo Ring ™ was also developed. Between 2004 and 2007, video servers, embedded computers, I / O servers, wireless access points , USB -to-serial adapters , radio modems , peer-to-peer I / O servers and Modbus gateways were launched on the market. Moxa in Europe

The independent European branch of Moxa Inc., Moxa Europe GmbH, was founded in Munich in 2006 and today has branches in France and Spain . With over 35 employees, the team looks after distributors and customers in Europe .
