The Municipio Arani is a district in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of Arani is one of two municipalities in the province of Arani and is located in the western part of the province. It borders the province of Punata to the west, the province of Mizque to the south, the municipality of Vacas to the east , and the province of Tiraque to the north .
The largest settlement and administrative center of the province is Arani with 3,542 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) on the western edge of the municipality.

The municipality of Arani is located in the transition area between the Bolivian Altiplano in the west and the Bolivian lowlands in the east. The mean average temperature of the region is just under 18 ° C (see climate diagram Cochabamba) and fluctuates only slightly between 14 ° C in June and July and 20 ° C in November.
