The Municipio Magdalena is a district in the Beni Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The Municipio Magdalena is the northern of the three Municipios of the Province of Iténez . It borders the province of Mamoré to the west, the Municipio Huacaraje to the south, the Municipio Baures to the southeast and east , and the Republic of Brazil to the north .
The largest town and administrative center in the municipality is the small town Magdalena with 5,516 inhabitants in the southwestern part of the municipality, the second largest town is Bella Vista with 2,440 inhabitants. ( 2012 census )

The Municipio Magdalena is located in the Bolivian lowlands almost one hundred kilometers southwest of the border with Brazil . The climate in the Magdalena area is characterized by a balanced temperature curve typical of the tropics with only minor fluctuations.
The annual mean temperature is almost 27 ° C, the monthly values fluctuate between 25 ° C in June / July and 28 ° C in October. The annual precipitation is more than 1,400 mm, with a significant wet season from November to March, and a dry season in the months June to August.
