Pabellón de Arteaga is the name of one of the eleven municipalities in the Mexican state of Aguascalientes . The administrative seat and largest town of the municipality is the Pabellón de Arteaga of the same name . The municipality has 41,862 inhabitants (2010) and covers an area of 198.4 km².

The municipality of Pabellón de Arteaga is centrally located in the state of Aguascalientes at an altitude between 1800 m and 2300 m . Three quarters of it belong to the physiographic province of the Mesa del Centro , the rest to the Sierra Madre Occidental . The municipality is located in the catchment area of the Río Lerma and thus drains into the Pacific . The geology of the municipality is composed of 63% alluvion , 29% rhyolite tuff and 5% sedimentary rock ; Soil type of 55% of the municipality is the Durisol with 27% Leptosol and 12% Phaeozem . Two thirds of the community area is used for arable farming, 14% is covered by shrubland and around 11% is forested.
The Municipio Pabellón de Arteaga borders the Municipios Rincón de Romos , Tepezalá , Asientos , San Francisco de los Romo , Jesús María and San José de Gracia .

In the 2010 census, 41,862 people in 9,392 residential units were counted in the municipality. Of these, 76 people were registered as speakers of an indigenous language , including 14 speakers of the Nahuatl . About four percent of the population was illiterate. 14,892 inhabitants were registered as economically active, of which approx. 68% were men and approx. 8.3% were unemployed. About 4.1% of the population lived in extreme poverty.
