The municipality of Toko (also: "Toco") is a district in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The municipality of Toko is one of three municipalities in the province of Germán Jordán . It borders the province of Esteban Arce to the west and south , the province of Punata to the east , and the municipality of Cliza to the north .

The central place of the municipality is the place Toko with 1,450 inhabitants in the northern part of the municipality. ( 2012 census )

The municipality of Toko lies in the transition area between the Andes mountain range of the Cordillera Central and the Bolivian lowlands. The mean average temperature of the region is around 18 ° C (see climate diagram Cochabamba) and fluctuates only slightly between 14 ° C in June / July and 20 ° C in October / November.
