Munna Bhai: Laughter makes you healthy (Original title: Munna Bhai MBBS ) is an Indian comedy film directed by Rajkumar Hirani from 2003.

action

Munna is an Indian gang boss who hides this from his parents. Instead, he tells them that he is a doctor. When they announced that they would visit him and see him at work, he turned a building into a hospital, as has happened repeatedly in the past. His parents are initially enthusiastic about his supposed work, but complain that Munna is still not married. During the stay, Munna's father meets an old friend, Dr. Asthana. He is the chief physician of a renowned Indian hospital and, in addition to his activities as a doctor, also trains future doctors there. His daughter Chinki also works as a doctor there and, like Munna, is not yet married. Both know each other from childhood, but have not seen each other since. The fathers decide to marry off their children. Before the first meeting, Dr. Asthana, however, finds out the deception and exposes Munna in front of his parents. The marriage is canceled and the parents, who are badly disappointed by Munna, leave.

Munna now decides to really study medicine in order to become a doctor, to impress his parents with it and to have their daughter Dr. To marry Asthanas in order to get revenge on him. Instead of honestly earning the title MBBS, the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery , his gang supports him in getting closer to his goal with unfair means: For example, he has a competent specialist kidnapped several times for exams to pass. In general, he quickly becomes aggressive and violent when something does not suit him. So bizarre things, like having one's own corpse delivered by his gang because he can hardly see anything during the autopsy, are the order of the day.
