NGC 5358 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0-a in the constellation Hounds in the northern sky . It is around 111 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 40,000 light years .
The galaxy is a member of the group of galaxies around NGC 5353 , also Hickson Compact Group 68 called.
The object was discovered on June 23, 1880 by Édouard Stephan .
