NGC 5335 is a 13.3 mag light barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Virgo . It is estimated to be 206 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a disk diameter of about 130,000 ly. In the same area of the sky there are u. a. the galaxies NGC 5329 and IC 952 .
The object was discovered on April 9, 1828 by John Herschel .
