NGC 5326 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type in the constellation Canes Venatici on the northern sky . It is an estimated 116 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 5313 , NGC 5337 , NGC 5346 , IC 4336 .
The object was discovered on January 14, 1788 by the astronomer William Herschel with the help of his 18.7-inch mirror telescope and was later listed by Johan Dreyer in his New General Catalog .
