NGC 5338 is a 12.8 mag bright, lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble-type SB0 in the constellation Virgo . It is estimated to be 35 million light years from the Milky Way .
The object was discovered by Lawrence Parsons on May 3, 1877 .
