NGC 5329 is a 12.4 likes bright elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E0 in the constellation Virgo to the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 316 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 120,000 ly. Together with LEDA 214169 it forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair .
The galaxies NGC 5331 , NGC 5335 , IC 943 are located in the same area of the sky .

The Type Ia supernova SN 2009ep was observed here.

The object was discovered on April 30, 1786 by Wilhelm Herschel with an 18.7-inch reflector telescope, who described it as "eF, vS, stellar, confirmed at 240 power".
