NGC 5341 is a 13.6 mag bar -spiral shaped radio galaxy of the Hubble type SBd in the constellation Hounds in the northern sky . It is an estimated 166 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 5349 , NGC 5351 , IC 4339 , IC 4340 .

The object was discovered on March 24, 1857 by R. J. Mitchell , an assistant to William Parsons .
