NGC 5350 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Hounds in the northern sky . It is around 107 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 100,000 light years . The object is classified as a Seyfert galaxy and a member of the galaxy group around NGC 5353 , also known as the Hickson Compact Group 68 .
The object was discovered on January 14, 1788 by William Herschel .
