IC 952 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Virgo north of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 206 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxies NGC 5335 and IC 943 are located in the same area of ​​the sky .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on June 3, 1891 .
