IC 933 is a lens-shaped galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Bear Guardian in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 412 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 125,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies IC 911 , IC 912 , IC 913 , IC 914 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on June 16, 1892 .
