IC 927 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sa in the constellation Virgo north of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 363 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years in diameter.

The galaxies IC 920 and IC 924 are located in the same area of ​​the sky .

The object was discovered on April 17, 1889 by the American astronomer Sherburne Wesley Burnham .
