Mutius Aloys Ottow

Mutius Aloys Ottow (born December 15, 1809 in Kalisch ; † May 13, 1884 in Berlin ) was a German judge and politician .

Life

Ottow grew up in Kalisch . After graduating from high school , he studied law at the University of Breslau from 1828 to 1831 and was also active in the Corps Silesia during this time . After receiving his doctorate as Dr. iur. he worked in the judicial service of various cities and then moved to the district court in Neumarkt in Silesia in 1844 . In 1847 he was transferred to Labiau , where he was promoted to district court director in 1850. From 1853 to 1861 he worked at the regional courts in Landeshut in Silesia and Hirschberg in the Giant Mountains .

Political activity

Ottow was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly from May 18, 1848 to May 30, 1849 as a member of the electoral district of Labiau , where he belonged to the casino faction. In 1858 he was elected as a representative for the Landeshut and Bolkenheim districts in the Prussian House of Representatives , to which he initially belonged from 1849 to 1867. He was again a member of the House of Representatives from 1873 to 1879 and from 1882 to his death in 1884, he represented the constituency of Liegnitz 7 ( Hirschberg - Schönau ).
