At times, My Dilemma was planned as the fourth single from the album When the Sun Goes Down . A short time later it was announced that My Dilemma would not be released after all, but a remix version called 'My Dilemma 2.0' with the American singer Flo-Rida was recorded. A 22 second taser appeared on Selena Gomez's You Tube page . For a while nothing happened and Selena Gomez or the band did not comment whether the song was still released. On September 6, 2012, the producer group tweeted that My Dilemma 2.0 will not be released because Hollywood Records has spoken out against publication. They also said it might appear on the group's next album, but it didn't.
On October 31, 2014, it was confirmed that My Dilemma 2.0 would appear on the greatest hits album For You . Surprisingly, the part of Flo-Rida was removed from the song.
