A Year Without Rain is the second studio album by the US band Selena Gomez & the Scene . It was released on September 21, 2010 under the label Hollywood Records and contains the singles Round & Round and A Year Without Rain .
background
In early 2010, Gomez announced that she and her band were working on a new album. She described that the album should sound different from her first album, Kiss & Tell , because she and her music had matured and it contained elements from reggae music. On August 17, 2010, Gomez announced the track list for the album, which was then released on September 21, 2010.
Published singles
Round & Round
The album's first single, Round & Round , was released on June 22, 2010. The music video, which was filmed in Budapest , was released two days earlier. The song achieved platinum status in the United States .
A Year Without Rain
The second single, A Year Without Rain , was released four days after the accompanying music video was released on September 7, 2010. A Spanish version of the song was released under the title Un Año Sin Lluvia with the same music video. With number three in Belgium and Bulgaria , the single got its highest chart positions there.
