Come & Get It is a song by the American singer Selena Gomez and the first single from the album Stars Dance which was released in summer 2013.
Creation and publication
Come & Get It was written by Ester Dean, MS Eriksen and TE Hermansen. It was produced by Stargate . Musically, Come & Get It is an electropop track that contains elements of Indian music ( Bhangra ). The song was released on Hollywood Records as the debut single from the Stars Dance album on April 7, 2013 and was officially featured on the Ryan Seacrest radio show . The British edition followed on July 14, 2013. In Germany, Come & Get It reached number 58 in the charts. In the US, it reached # 6 on the official Billboard Hot 100 and was awarded triple platinum. The song was actually for the sixth studio album Talk That Talk by Rihanna planned, found out but no place, so it was offered to other artists.
Gomez made her first live appearance with Come & Get It on April 14, 2013 at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards . She also sang the song on American television shows Dancing with the Stars , The Ellen DeGeneres Show , Late Show with David Letterman , the Radio Disney Music Awards, and the 2013 Billboard Music Awards .
In autumn 2014, the song was the theme music for the eBay advertising campaign Shop the World .
Music video
The video for the song was shot by Anthony Mandler , who is already known for his collaboration with Rihanna . It premiered on May 7, 2013 on MTV . On June 18, 2013, five videos of five remix versions were released on Gomez 'VEVO.
