Slow Down is a song by US singer Selena Gomez and was released as the second single from her fourth studio album, Stars Dance . It premiered on June 3, 2013 and was released as a download from the iTunes Store if you pre-ordered the Stars Dance album .

Slow Down was written by Lindy Robbins, Julia Michaels , Niles Hollowell-Dhar, David Kuncio and Freddy Wexler and released under producer The Cataracs , who is already known for his work with Dev , Usher and Far East Movement. Musically, Slow Down is a dance-pop song and shows traces of dubstep .
Music video
The music video for Slow Down was filmed in Paris , France in May 2013 . Philip Andelman directed it. On July 19, 2013, the video was leaked on YouTube prior to its scheduled release ; on the same day the music video was officially released on her Vevo account. The car in the video in which Gomez is sitting is a 1964 Pullman 600 Mercedes-Benz .

Gomez sang Slow Down on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on July 24, 2013 and on Live with Kelly and Michael on July 26, 2013. On November 14, 2013, she performed with the song on The X Factor .
