Myrto Artan Uzuni (born May 31, 1995 in Berat ) is an Albanian football player who has been under contract with Ferencváros Budapest since 2020 .

life and career

Uzuni's family emigrated to Greece in his youth and returned to Berat in 2012, where he joined the local team FK Tomori Berat and played for the club's U17 side. With 14 goals he was the top scorer in the U17 league in 2012/13. From 2013 he played in the U19 team. His achievements led to an appointment in the first team of coach Madrid Muxhaj , which played in the second division.

In 2013 he made his professional debut in the Albanian Cup against KS Pogradeci . He was also an important player for Tomori's U-19 team. For the second leg in the Cup against Pogradeci, he was called up again in the first team. With a goal in the second minute, he contributed to the victory of the team.

Uzuni made his league debut in December 2013 in the Albanian category e parë against KS Veleçiku Koplik . He played a total of eleven games in the second highest Albanian league. In his first professional season he scored two goals in four Albanian Cup games and three goals in a total of 15 games for Tomori's first team. For his achievements in 2014 he was named the club's player of the year.

Shortly after receiving this award, he moved to the first division club KF Apolonia Fier in January 2015 . However, the team did not succeed in receiving the Superiore category ; Uzuni could only score one goal in 18 games. Things went better in the second year after relegation: In the 2016/17 season , Uzuni scored 17 goals in 26 games for Apolonia.

In August 2017 Uzuni moved back to the first division for € 20,000 for KF Laçi , he played for the first time in a championship game against Partizani Tirana , which was won. On December 10, Uzuni scored the only goal of the game against Skënderbeu Korçë , which ended the Korçan's undefeated streak in the league. It was Laçi's first league win against Skënderbeu since April 2015. On March 14, 2018, he scored his first brace in a 3-1 win in Lushnja and another brace on the last matchday in a 4-2 home win against Teuta Durrës . Laçi finished fourth and returned to the UEFA Europa League for the first time in three years .

Uzuni played for Laçi in the final of the Albanian Football Cup and in the Supercup in 2018 and also successfully played in coach Besnik Prenga's squad in the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League . He played his last game for Laçi on August 31, 2018.

In September 2018 he moved abroad with a four-year contract with the Croatian club NK Lokomotiva . He made his competitive debut with the number 21 on September 16 against NK Slaven Belupo Koprivnica .

In August 2020, Uzuni moved to Hungarian champions Ferencváros Budapest for 1.8 million euros .

National team

After some impressive performances in the Albanian Super League with Apolonia Fier, he received his first international call for the Albanian U-21s under head coach Skënder Gega to take part in a three-day preparation camp in Durrës in February 2015. For the first time he was part of the qualifier for the U-21 European Championship 2017 against Liechtenstein on the list. In this victory he was on the field for the entire length of the game. He scored his first goal in the draw against the Czech Republic , the only one for the team. In total, he played seven times for the U-21s.

In 2018 he played for the senior national team in the UEFA Nations League for the first time and made his debut here on October 10, 2018 against Israel .
