Roberto Néstor Sensini (born October 12, 1966 in Arroyo Seco , Santa Fe ) is a former Argentine football player and current coach .
Career
society
Sensini began his career in 1986 with Newell's Old Boys from Rosario . With the Old Boys, Sensini became Argentine football champions just a year later . For the 1989/90 season he moved to Italy to Udinese Calcio . In 1994 Sensini went to AC Parma . He won three titles with Parma: the UEFA Cup twice ( 1995 and 1999 ) and the Coppa Italia (1999). For the 1999/2000 season he signed with Lazio . With Lazio, Sensini was Italian champion in the same season . In 2001 he moved back to AC Parma. In 2002 Sensini won the Coppa Italia again with Parma. In 2002, Sensini returned to Udinese, where he ended his career in 2006.
National team
Sensini denied 1987-2002 also 59 games for the Argentine national team and participated in the with him FIFA World Cup in 1990 , 1994 and 1998 in part. At the 1990 World Cup, he fouled Rudi Völler in the penalty area and thus caused the decisive penalty. He also won the silver medal with the Argentine Olympic selection at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta .
Trainer
Between February 10 and March 20, 2006 Sensini worked temporarily as a player- coach at Udinese. In 2007 he became a coach at Estudiantes de La Plata . In 2009 he took over the coaching position at his home club, the Newell's Old Boys.
