Nörditz is a district of Gößnitz in the Altenburger Land district in Thuringia .

location

Nörditz is located southwest of Gößnitz just before Schmölln in the Altenburg-Zeitz loess hill country that expires . The settlement at the forester's house, consisting of the former inn, a nursery and three other houses, also belongs to the place. There are 26 built-up plots in the village itself.

history

In 1336 the village was first recorded, in the immediate vicinity of which the existence of a prehistoric settlement is proven. Nörditz belonged to the Wettin office of Altenburg , which was under the sovereignty of the following Ernestine duchies from the 16th century due to several divisions in the course of its existence : Duchy of Saxony (1554 to 1572), Duchy of Saxony-Weimar (1572 to 1603), Duchy of Saxony-Altenburg (1603 to 1672), Duchy of Saxony-Gotha-Altenburg (1672 to 1826). When the Ernestine duchies were reorganized in 1826, the place came back to the duchy of Saxony-Altenburg. After the administrative reform in the duchy, Nörditz belonged to the eastern district (until 1900) and to the Ronneburg district office (from 1900). From 1918 the village belonged to the Free State of Saxony-Altenburg , which was added to the State of Thuringia in 1920. In 1922 it came to the district of Altenburg . The forester's house on the road to Gößnitz belongs to Nörditz, and this was the local hangout of the hunting community. The last hunt took place on December 5, 1944, after the war all rifles had to be surrendered.

On July 1, 1950, Nörditz was incorporated into Gößnitz. During the second district reform in the GDR in 1952, the existing states were dissolved and the districts were redesigned. Thus Nörditz came as a district of the city of Gößnitz with the district of Schmölln to the district of Leipzig , which had belonged to Thuringia since 1990 as the district of Schmölln and which became part of the district of Altenburger Land during the Thuringian district reform in 1994 .

Economy and Infrastructure

The place is on Landesstraße 1358 , which connects the B 7 in Schmölln and the B 93 in Gößnitz. The fully developed network location of the Schmölln-Gößnitz urban union is located in the district of Nörditz and that of the neighboring Schmölln district of Nitzschka .
