Friedhelm "Fritz" Eckenga (* 30th January 1955 in Bochum ) is a German cabaret artist , freelance writer, columnist on radio and press as well as a longtime member of rock theater - ensembles N8chtschicht .

Life

After completing his commercial training, he primarily worked as a cabaret artist and author.

He toured regularly with the regionally successful music theater ensemble N8chtschicht, which he was one of the founding members, especially in North Rhine-Westphalia. Eckenga has long appeared nationwide with solo programs.

His appearances as a lifeguard with sunglasses mirrored on the inside are known, who tries to master the chaos around and in the outdoor pool in the most beautiful Ruhr German ("Ehh !!! Don't jump in from the side, colleague! Do you work at home too?"). As a poet and football specialist (“My friend is made of leather”) Eckenga can be heard regularly on WDR and other ARD radio programs. He wrote for the taz for several years , occasionally he still writes for selected newspapers and magazines. He was also the author of the culinary martial arts pamphlet Chief Own Hearth .

Fritz Eckenga lives in Dortmund .

Awards

In 2008 Fritz Eckenga was awarded the Iron Reinoldus 2008 by the members of the Ruhr Press Association in the German Association of Journalists . In 2010 he received the Peter Hille Literature Prize "Nieheimer Schuhu" and in 2011 the Ruhr Literature Prize and in 2012 the Salzburg Bull Radio Cabaret Prize . 2017 "Tegtmeier Prize" from the city of Herne.
