NUTS: MT
As NUTS: MT or NUTS regions in Malta is called territorial organization of Malta in accordance with the European Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS) .
Basics
In Malta, the three NUTS and two LAU levels are covered as follows:
- NUTS 1: 1 - Malta
- NUTS 2: 1 - Malta
- NUTS 3: 2 Gżejjer - Malta, and the islands of Gozo and Comino on the other
- LAU-1: 6 Distretti (Districts)
- LAU-2: 68 Kunsilli (local councils) - 54 in Malta and 14 in Gozo
