NUTS: MK
As NUTS: MK or NUTS regions in northern Macedonia is called territorial organization Nordmazedoniens according to the European Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS) .
Basics
In North Macedonia, the three NUTS and two LAU levels are assigned as follows:
- NUTS 1: 1 - North Macedonia
- NUTS 2: 1 - North Macedonia
- NUTS 3: 8 Статистички региони ( Statistički regioni , statistical regions )
- LAU-1: 84 пштини ( Opštini , municipalities )
- LAU-2: 1776 Населени места ( Naseleni mesta , localities)
This code is “preliminary […]; it in no way anticipates the definitive nomenclature for the country in question, which will be adopted after the conclusion of the relevant negotiations at the United Nations on this subject. ”(EC / Eurostat) The Latin version is not official and is used here - as in the original documents - mentioned for understanding.
