Counties of Estonia

As NUTS: EE or NUTS regions in Estonia is called the territorial organization of Estonia according to the European Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS) .

Basics

In Estonia, the three NUTS and two LAU levels are covered as follows:

  • NUTS 1: 1 - Eesti (Estonia)
  • NUTS 2: 1 - Eesti
  • NUTS-3: 5 Groups of Maakond (groups of counties / districts)
  • LAU-1: 15 Maakonnad (counties / districts)
  • LAU-2: 226 Vallad, Linnad (rural and urban parishes )
