Imperial territories

NUTS: SE is the code of the Nomenclature des unités territoriales statistiques ( NUTS ) of the official statistics of the European Union for Sweden .

As Riksområde ( German  Reich ) are in Sweden called the statistic regions of the level NUTS-2.

Basics

In Sweden the three NUTS and two LAU levels are covered as follows:

• NUTS-1: 3 Reichsgebietsgruppen ( Swedish Grupper av riksområden )
• NUTS-2: 8 imperial territories ( Swedish Riksområden )
• NUTS-3: 21 provinces ( Swedish Län )
• LAU-1: - (not used)
• LAU-2: 290 municipalities ( Swedish kommuner )

Until 2003, NUTS-1 consisted of the whole country and the Riksområden had different NUTS identifiers:
