NUTS: IS
As NUTS: IS or NUTS regions in Iceland is called territorial organization Islands according to the European "Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics" ( NUTS ).
Basics
In Iceland, the three NUTS and two LAU levels are covered as follows:
- NUTS 1: 1 - Iceland
- NUTS 2: 1 - Iceland
- NUTS 3: 2 Hagskýrslu-svæði - capital region on the one hand and all other regions on the other
- LAU-1: 8 Landsvædi
- LAU-1: 79 Sveitarfélög
