As NUTS: IE or NUTS regions in Ireland is called the territorial division of Ireland in accordance with the European Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS) .

In Ireland the three NUTS and two LAU levels are covered as follows:

The regional administrative regions were created with the Local Government Act 1991 and in 1999 were constitutionally endowed with Regional Authorities as local authorities. The regions of the statistical regions come together in assemblies .
