News from the angel house

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The news from the Engels House appeared between 1978 and 1998. They were a series of publications by the Engels House that appeared at irregular intervals and dealt with Friedrich Engels , in particular with his biography. In addition, the family of Friedrich Engels and his circle of acquaintances was made accessible through source editions. Issues 1 to 11 were not sold in bookshops.

Under the direction of Michael Knieriem , the writings from the Engels House in Wuppertal were intended as a contribution to Marx-Engels research, in particular the Marx-Engels Complete Edition .

“By publishing the 'Nachrichten aus dem Engels-Haus', it will now be possible to approach the interested public with ongoing research results on the life and work of Friedrich Engels himself as well as on parts of his social, economic and intellectual-political environment . At the same time, this organ is intended to close a gap that previously existed due to the lack of such a publication. "
