The Schleifgraben is an arm of the confluence of the Welzbach into the Tauber near Werbach in the Main-Tauber district of Baden-Württemberg .

course

The Schleifgraben branches off from the Welzbach at Hochhäuser Strasse (K 2880) to the left and towards the west-south-west. It flows through fields and meadows between the Wört corridor on its right and the Rosenmark corridor on its left. It passes a Kneipp facility next to a beach volleyball field and finally ends at an altitude of about 169  m above sea level. NHN from the right into the Tauber.

The Welzbach has a total of three estuary arms. The grinding ditch goes from the lower branch of the mouth, named after the stream. This itself divides below Werbachhausen and a little before Werbach at a weir into the Welzbach arm, which is fed by the upper water, which flows tightly around the Werbach and only flows into the Tauber after a long parallel run, and the arm Schlund, which leads away the underwater of the weir . The throat runs two to three meters deeper than the upper water branch in the previous Welzbach direction, straight and at the top to the Tauber. The grinding trench is therefore the middle and also the shortest mouth arm.

Recreation area on the Schleifgraben
