Naphthol green B is an extremely lightfast green dye from the class of acid dyes and belongs to the nitroso compounds , the absorption maximum is 714 nm (water). It is the simply sulfonated derivative of Naphthol Green Y ( CI 10005), with three molecules forming a complex with Fe 3+ . The pH value (10 g / l H 2 O, 20 ° C) is 9.3.

use

Industrially, naphthol green B is used to dye wool , nylon , paper , anodized aluminum and soap .

It was also used for multiple staining of animal cells.
