Nata De Leeuw starts for the Altius Nordic Ski Club and has been participating in top-class events of the Fédération Internationale de Ski since 2005 . Her first race was in Park City in October of that year , where she was 20th on the normal hill. In 2005 and 2006, placing in the points should become normal for the Canadian, she never did not make it into the top 30, but never into the top ten. At the Junior World Championships 2006 in Kranj de Leeuw came in 13th place. In January 2007 the Canadian reached seventh place in Toblach for the first time among the top ten of the Continental Cup, in Rastbüchl and Schonach she missed podium placements as fourth. She jumped less successfully when she placed 28th at the 2007 Junior World Championships in Tarvisio .
In the summer of 2007, de Leeuw came on the podium for the first time in a Mats Continental Cup competition in Lake Placid as second behind Anette Sagen , and only a few days later she was third in Park City. In the same place, the Canadian was able to finish second in a snow jump for the first time on the large hill in winter 2008. Before that she was 12th at the Junior World Championships in Zakopane . In 2009 she missed a medal by three points behind Magdalena Schnurr , Anna Häfele and Coline Mattel in fourth place. At the first Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2009 , De Leeuw reached eleventh place under difficult conditions. The best result in the overall Continental Cup ranking was seventh place in the 2007/08 season .
In 2009, however, she ended her career at the age of only 18 because women's ski jumping was not included in the program of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler . In the 2009/2010 season she jumped several times as a hobby. So she took part in the Canadian Ski Jumping Championships 2012 from the normal hill and won the silver medal behind Taylor Henrich .
